Alloa Athletic try there best to be the centre of the community in Alloa. They have a great seaon ticket offer for the 09/10 season where you can bring extra kids along to the ground for a fee for around £25-£30 a season. They know that the future of their club needs as many of the young people around Alloa to keep supporting their club. Like all clubs in the lower divisions they find that people from the local area seem to follow the 'Old Firm' for some reason and not supporting their local team is a shame for the local team needs all the support they can find to help them success in their dreams.
Alloa Athletic play all their games at Recreation Park. They are one of a few teams in Scotland to play their home games on an artificial playing surface when this was introduced in 2007. The ground last year also introduced a brand new stand for the away fans which holds just over 500 seats. The ground now can have just over 3,000, but their highest ever attendance was 15,467 when Celtic visited Recreation Park for a Scottish Cup 5th Round tie back in 5 February 1955. This information about the highest crowd comes for the book 'The Roar of the Crowd by David Ross'. The clubs biggest win was a 9–0 thrashing of Selkirk in a Scottish Cup 1st Round tie just a few years ago on the 28 November 2005.
