Queen's Park is the only team in the senior set up in Scotland with an amateur status. Queens Park have a brilliant motto which is Ludere Causa Ludendi. This mean "to play for the sake of playing" and is such a true statement as football is all about playing the game and not the money that can go along with it.

They are also the oldest team in Scotland (founded 9 July 1867) and with them playing their football in the South East of Glasgow at Hampden Park they have a ground to go with their history. A point about Hampden Park which is not widely known it is the oldest stadium in the world where football is still being played. Also this ground is the national home for the SFA and Scottish National Team. Carrying on with information about the ground the highest attendance for this ground is truly amazing. The ground itself has the largest attendance in British football history (official attendance as the 1923 FC cup final was thought to be higher) and will never be beaten at 149,415 which was for a Scotland v England game on the 13 April 1937. Queen's Park Highest attendance was for a Scottish Cup tie on the 18th January 1930 where the crowd was a amazing 95,722 against Rangers Football Club.

An amazing point about Queen's Park is that they have won the Scottish Cup more times than any other team outside of the Old Firm. This is main because they are the oldest team in Scottish Football and won this cup 10 times all before the start of the 1900's.

The club supporters are very loyal and there are one of the biggest supported club in the lower divisions. The fans love going to away games and travel in large numbers when they play against a 'local team'.

Gardner Speirs has been manager of Queen's Park since February 2008. He managed to save the team from relegation in that year and as what always happens to them they lost there good player at the end of the season to clubs that pay a wage. Thats is life for this famous Scottish club as player will always want to move on with their dreams of big bucks in senior football. In the 2008-09 season the team finished 9th and then lost in a play off to Stenhousemuir to slip back to the third division.
