Welcome to Heart of Midlothian Football Club - Scottish Championship Football League
Welcome to the page on this site for Heart of Midlothian Football Club. Hearts as they are known by their fans and rival supports are based in the west side of Edinburgh and just a short distance from the home of rugby, Murrayfield, the home of the Scottish National Team. There main rivals are Hibernian and there is always an excitement when these two teams face are the Scottish Capital. This season 2014/15 this season is a bit different than normal just because they find themselves down a division after finding themselves in administration at the start of season 2013/14. The only comfort Hearts fans had at the end of season 2013/14 was the their rivals in Edinburgh were also religated to the second tier of Scottish Football.

Heart of Midlothian play all their football at Tynecastle Park and this has been the club home ground since 1886. They did play away from Tynecastle Park for a season when the ground was getting redeveloped and this was at Murrayfield. The highest attendance at Tynecastle was in the Scottish Cup in 1932 when the club played against Rangers in the 3rd round. The attendance that day was 53,396. The ground has also been used to host Scottish international matches and the current total for this is nine.
The club has had its financial troubles over the years with owner after owner letting the club down. There has been so much bad press towards chairman that I could write a whole page on the subject, but not going to do that as you would fall asleep. Currently the owner of the club is a Russian-Lithuanian businessman and banker Vladimir Romanov after he bought out the previous owner Chris Robinson's in 2005. Over the time since Viadimir has been in charge they have gone through 9 managers (up to 30th January 2010) and it seem the managers do have a hard time pleasing this man. Only time will tell if Hearts do make a strong force in Scottish football, but one thing for sure is the manager has to be left to decide matters on the football field with football signing and players.
