They play their football in a great ‘wee’ town of Forfar in the Scottish region of Angus which lies on the North-East coast of Scotland. This area is full of Scottish League teams and nearly every place you come pass through on this stretch of road has a club in the Scottish League. These include the likes of Arbroath, Brechin City and Montrose and SPL clubs in the name of Dundee, Dundee United, Aberdeen and St. Johnstone.
Forfar FC play all their home ground name is Station Park and this has a capacity of just over 5,000. This stadium record attendance is 10,780. This was against Rangers Football Club on the 7th February 1970.
Forfar FC have two nicknames that they are known for. The first one is The Loons and this is used today. They did have a nickname as the ‘Sky Blues’, but this was stopped by the club itself in the 1990’s.
One of the areas of Forfar Football Club that other fans mention about this club are the amazing bridies that the club have at their home games. There has been many cold winter days I have been in Forfar when after a few pints in one of their locals you would head to the ground and get a couple of bridies to help you warm up. Not been there for a few years now, but I am sure they are as good as in the past.
The club have only a few honours in their history and they are as follows:
C Division Champions: 1948–49
Second Division Champions: 1983–84
Third Division Champions: 1994–95
Third Division Runners Up: 1996–97
